Our Platform

We are proud Zionists.

We are coalition builders.

We are believers in the American dream.

We answer the spread of strife with a simple reply: hinenu.

Core Beliefs

Pluralistic Judaism

We believe in promoting a pluralistic vision in which every Jew finds their place and feels like a cherished part of the Jewish people.

Jewish Peoplehood

We believe in fostering initiatives that bring American Jews and Israeli Jews closer to a reciprocal understanding within the framework of “arevut adadit” (mutual responsibility) – inspired by the timeless teaching that kol yisrael arevim zeh lazeh (all of Israel are responsible for one another).

Two-State Solution

We believe that the dream of swords being turned into plowshares can only be achieved by a two-state solution that allows Israelis and Palestinians to live peacefully side-by-side, advancing our aspiration for regional peace and the full acceptance of Israel into the global community.

We hope to act on these beliefs in the World Zionist Congress by:

– fostering initiatives that bring American Jews and Israeli Jews closer to a reciprocal understanding within the framework of “arevut adadit” (mutual responsibility) – inspired by the timeless teaching that kol yisrael arevim zeh lazeh (all of Israel are responsible for one another).

– proposing the creation of a department dedicated to promoting democratic values, because we know that antisemitism rises as democracy erodes.

– fighting antisemitism holistically and on the offensive-- not defensively. The Department for Combatting Antisemitism and Enhancing Resilience puts out reports of information gathered by US Jewish organizations and needs to be reshaped so that we are all aware of these issues and how we are addressing them. The four institutions under the WZC must work hand in hand with US organizations to complement one another's work, and there must be an understanding of what we are each tackling.

– advocate for educational initiatives that foster yediat yisrael, not just ahavat yisrael, including the creation of an online Jewish public library, because as educators, we know the US is seeing a crisis of a lack of Jewish educators and we must support them.

– turning swords into plowshares by laying the foundations for a two-state solution-- one that allows Israelis and Palestinians to live peacefully side-by-side, advances our aspiration for regional peace, and the full acceptance of Israel into the global community.
